Partners in life and love, Dave and Jan Houser have traveled the globe together since 1987 in search of magical and elusive travel tales and photographs.
More than twenty years have passed since Dave hired Jan, a sexy, young, ex-Hollywood shooter, to manage his business (and subsequently his life). Today the intrepid team boasts a bounty of professional awards and accolades, words and images published in nearly every major publication devoted to travel – NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELER, ISLANDS, CONDE NAST TRAVELER, and the LOS ANGELES TIMES, to name a few –– and an image library approaching a quarter-million photographs.

In November 2005 Dave and Jan returned to fulltime freelancing, after selling their highly respected stock photography agency, Houserstock, Inc. to their venerable office manager Rankin Harvey and his wife Jennifer. They will continue to contribute images to the agency, but from what they hope to be a more relaxed travel schedule.
'Semi-retirement', however, hasn't reflected much of a slowdown for the intrepid pair with travel assignments taking them to the South Pacific, The Kingdom of Bhutan, Mongolia, Forida Keys, Quebec, Hawaii, Mexico, Utah, Death Valley, CA, Greenland, the Caribbean and much more.
